Le Jardin

One of the most interesting facts about our property is that the apple tree down in the orchard is known locally as “Canadian Grey”.

Our first year here I was excited to discover that although the property was covered in brambles, the brambles were black berries – so working in the garden was a real treat in the last few weeks of August.

The pink on the cadastre below is the outline of our property.  All of 4, 50 and 555.  The part lot 50 is actually mostly ravine that is somewhat vertical and rises about 40 feet (approx 12 m).  Lot 4 is connected to us by a little bridge on the west side of the house.
